The University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies (UP SLIS) invites applications for full-time faculty positions to begin August 1, 2017 (First Semester, 2017-2018). The positions are expected to be filled initially at the rank of non-tenure-track Assistant Professor. Ranking and consequent salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience following provisions in the UP Diliman’s Faculty Manual. The positions are subject to final available items, slots, and administrative approvals.
The successful candidates will be expected to maintain an active record of teaching, advising, research, and extension service in the field of Library and Information Studies with possible administrative responsibilities in line with running the School. Applicants in the following subjects areas are currently needed:
Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the Bachelor of Library and Information Studies program with possible teaching units in the Master of Library and Information Studies program. This position offers the opportunity and requires the candidates to engage in innovative research and socially relevant extension services.
